The Oris Day architectural symposium will be held on Sunday, November 8, 2026 in Zagreb, at the Mozaik Event Center (ex Hypo Center), building B2, Slavonska avenija 6.
The central program brings a meeting between this year’s laureate of the Pritzker Prize, Smiljan Radić Clarke, and the Swiss architect Christian Kerez. The audience will have the opportunity to follow their conversation live – a dialogue between two prominent architects about architecture, the process of creation and contemporary challenges of the profession.
In addition to this talk, three successful Croatian architectural practices presented at the New Perspectives exhibition, which marked 11 years of Oris House of Architecture, will hold their lectures: NEKOLIKO, Krešimir Damjanović and SKUP-A.
The discussion and lectures will be moderated by Mia Roth Čerina, Vedran Mimica, Maroje Mrduljaš and Dinko Peračić.

Smiljan Radić Clarke was born in 1965 in Santiago de Chile, Chile. He graduated in 1989 from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, and then studied history at the Istituto Universitario di Architettura di Venezia. In 2001, he was named the best Chilean architect under the age of 35 in the Colegio de Arquitectos de Chile. He held numerous lectures and exhibitions in Mexico, Argentina, Spain, USA, Norway and Austria. In 2007, he was a visiting professor at the University of Texas at Austin, and in 2008 at Harvard, together with his permanent collaborator, sculptor Marcela Correa. He is the winner of the 2026 Pritzker Prize.
Christian Kerez was born in 1962 in Maracaibo, Venezuela, and completed his education at the Swiss Institute of Technology in Zurich. In 1993, he opened his own architectural office in Zürich, Switzerland. Since 2001, he has been a visiting professor of design and architecture at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, since 2003 an assistant professor, and since 2009 a full professor of design and architecture. He taught at ETH until his retirement in 2025.
NEKOLIKO is an architectural office from Zagreb that has been operating in this format since the fall of 2022. It was founded by Dora Lončarić and Mario Kralj as a continuation of partnership work in the BIRO studio. Members of NEKOLIKO team are Hrvoje Arbanas, Mario Peko and Lucija Pticek, as well. They deal with architecture in all scales and a wide range of tasks and purposes.
Krešimir Damjanović graduated from the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Zagreb in 2013. From 2013 to 2021, he worked in the studio of academician Nikola Bašić (MARINAPROJEKT d.o.o.). From 2022, he operates independently. In addition to his professional work, he is also active in the academic community, first as an external associate-assistant at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Geodesy in Split, and currently as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Zagreb. Damjanović’s projects are also recognized internationally.
Filip Romić and Krešimir Romić lead SKUP’s architectural platform focused on researching technologies, processes and materials. By hybridizing analog and digital compositions, they question traditional spatial paradigms, open forms and prototypes that redefine the boundaries of architectural processes. They advocate open, inclusive models of design and space management.
The patron of the event is the Embassy of Switzerland.
