Starting point: Stjepana Filipovića 45 – in front of the CIP building (ending at BINA Kabina). https://maps.app.goo.gl/rZ5tGrPwmuihDTaeA

Guide: Jelena Dinić (Za naš lepi kraj Stjepana Filipovića)
Guests/Speakers: members of civic initiatives from other neighbourhoods
Facilitator: Maria Minić

What happens when citizens are not supported by the state in their challenges related to inhabiting the city? How do they react and resist pressures over space?

Jelena, an inhabitant-activist of the Stjepan Filipović neighbourhood, will share the collective experience of local residents in defending a green space from speculative development, as well as their self-organised initiative to create a ‘performative local community’, organise an exhibition and create a mural in collaboration with ULUS.
Activists from other parts of the city will also take part in the walk to encourage the exchange of knowledge and experiences.

The guided walks through the Stjepan Filipović neighbourhood and the Sava Blocks  are part of the public programme of the exhibition From Crisis to Community: Collaborative Tactics of Inhabiting, taking place at BINA Kabina from 8 to 17 May.

The walk will conclude at BINA Kabina, where at 12:00 a final collective discussion will be held with Ana Đokić (Centre for New Housing Cooperatives) and Jovana Timotijević (Ministry of Space), on the theme ‘From Crisis to Community, From Home to the City’.
Everyone is welcome to join!
