Meeting on the plateau in front of the main entrance from Masarikova Street

Half a century after the ceremonial opening of the Belgrade Palace, built according to the project of architect Branko Pešić, this recognizable symbol of Belgrade experienced a new youth.

During the walk, we will look back on the history of 1974, when the Palace of Belgrade was the tallest skyscraper in Belgrade. It was built according to the most modern architectural and construction standards. We will talk about the architect Branko Pešić, with a retrospective of the building’s life before privatization.

We will talk about the process of reconstruction, visit the plateau and the main lobby with a description of the interventions undertaken during the reconstruction. A tour of the green roof terraces, which have been converted into park units on the 5th and 6th floors, is planned, and the final stop will be the observation deck on the top floor, from where you can see the panorama of Belgrade.
