  • The Oslo Architecture Triennale was open on 26th September and will run through  November 24th 2019 under the title Architecture of Degrowth.

    The exhibition "Creation of modern Belgrade: from 1815 to 1964 from the collection of the Museum of the City of Belgrade" was created on the basis of the researching materials from the Collection for Architecture and Urbanism of the Museum of the City of Belgrade. It presents the urban and architectural development of Belgrade over a period of 150 years, during which the capital has been transformed from a borderland Oriental town into a modern European city. Visitors will have the opportunity to see over 400 original exhibits from the Collection for Architecture and Urbanism of the Belgrade City Museum. The shown photographs, drawings, projects, plans, postcards, and archival documents illustrate various phenomena from the history of Belgrade's development. The exhibition is divided into three chronological units. The first part is the period of the 19th century, that is, the period from 1815 to 1914, when Serbia gradually won its independence and freedom, and Belgrade became the capital of the Kingdom of Serbia. The following continent includes decades between the two World wars, from 1918 to 1941, in which Belgrade, as the capital of the newly formed Kingdom of Yugoslavia, faced successes and contrasts on the path to Europeanisation and modernization.
