ANNUAL AWARD OF THE ASSOCIATION OF ARCHITECTS OF SERBIA FOR 2024
The jury for the awarding of the annual awards of the Association of Architects of Serbia, i.e. the Annual Award “Aleksej Brkić” for the most successful architectural work realized in 2024, decided that, due to the small number of submitted works (3 works in the category of realized architectural work, no work in the category of executed works of our architects that were realized abroad and 3 works in the category of student works), the awards for the year 2024 will not be awarded.
The number of submitted projects, in the Jury’s opinion, does not represent the current and true reflection of architectural production in Serbia. Observing the level of construction of our cities in recent years and the amount of built “squares” – and aware that the intensity of construction does not imply the quality of architecture – this decision draws attention to the extremely small number of completed architectural buildings that arrived at the competition, and in an effort to jointly restore the importance and visibility of this Award.
GRAND PRIX OF THE ASSOCIATION OF ARCHITECTS OF SERBIA FOR LIFE ACHIEVEMENT FOR 2023
The Grand Architecture Award of the Association of Architects of Serbia for Lifetime Achievement for the year 2023, given in 2025, went to prof. Dr. Borislav Stojkov, B.A. in Architecture and Master Urbanist.
THE AWARD OF THE SOCIETY OF BELGRADE ARCHITECTS “ARCHITECTURAL EVENT OF THE YEAR” FOR 2024
For the proposal “PUBLIC DISCUSSION ON THE FATE OF THE BELGRADE FAIR AND GENERAL HEADQUARTERS”, held on April 23, 2024, at the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Belgrade, while the recognition went to the event “First National Architectural Forum” held on May 28, 2024, in the Youth Center of Belgrade.
